Words of kindness are works of kindness, and since they cost so little and are worth so much, we should strew them plentifully all along life's way.

Comedy/Tragedy

Yep, that pretty much sums up my relationship with the one whose names means "beautiful, brilliant."

I used to think this was a silly saying,
but now I know what it means.

"If you love something set it free. If it comes back it's yours; if it doesn't it never was."

One of my young friends calls me an old hippie, but I was talking with my sister the other day and we figured out that we were teenagers between the hippie and disco years. What would that make us? Hipcos?

Rock Star:INXS

I have been watching RS:INXS since the beginning. I like the show a lot, however the singer I liked most, Daphna, was eliminated a few weeks ago. Last night's show was great except Jordis sounded awful and she is one of the best singers. She will show up in the bottom three tonight I am sure. Ty was fabulous with "Proud Mary."

First shots

I took Myst'y to the vet today for the first time for her first shots. She behaved well for Dr. Anna. The worst part for her was when the alcohol swab was applied before the shot was given. Good grief, what a baby!

That a new one

Last night a friend convinced me to try one of his cigarillos. I haven't smoked in more years than I can remember, but that little cigar wasn't half bad.

Fat Chance

I am disappointed that my favorite contestent in Mo'Niques' Fat Chance contest didn't win. In my opinion Sharon outclassed every other contestent. I suspect age discrimination lost her the contest because Sharon was the oldest at 44 and all of the others were in their 20's. Oh, well!

Welcome Mystery

My friend Tonya decided to get a puppy. Our neighbors were giving away 8 pitbull puppies. Their were only two left. She brought one to our house to see and my foster son decided he wanted one too. I was against it because of the pitbull reputation, but he begged and begged and so I finally gave it. He went and got the other one. She is female. He named her Mystery, but we call her Myst'y for short. In the way of teenagers not following through, Myst'y has become my puppy. I adore her. She is the sweetest thing. Everything I read says that if she is raised properly she will be a great dog.

Amen!

God grant me the Senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell
the difference.
